Once Upon A Town project. Day 11. Mamre.

Day 11 was our 1st day in Mamre, we got a late start but made good progress on the 1st wall. One of the residents dished out some homemade dry wors to the rest of the team, he then proceeded to tell us how he just had to put down one of his stallions. Hmmmmm.

Once Upon A Town project. Day 10. Pella.

The day was spent finishing up the pieces in Pella, tomorrow we move on to Mamre for the 2nd half of the project. The owner of this house we painted boast's the prestigious honor of being the only house in Pella to have " four doorsh...outshide". There's no front door or back door just side doors and the one doesn't even have stairs leading up to it but I guess it still counts.

Once Upon A Town project. Day 9. Pella. Rained out again.

Day 9, a day of rain, cold, damp headphones, wrinkly hands, wet roll-ups, tea as sweet as kool aid, a lunch bar for lunch and a house with four doors but no front or back door.

Once Upon A Town project. Day 8. Pella.

Once Upon A Town project. Day 7. Pella.

Once Upon A Town project. Day 6. Pella. Rained Out.

Day 5 was an off day and when we returned to Pella on Day 6 we were greeted by the wind and then the rain and then a bit more rain.

Once Upon A Town project. Day 4. Pella.

Once Upon A Town project. Day 3. Pella.

Day 3 and the sun finally came out for a bit. Long enough for Falko and I to work on one large piece. I was on eye detail and Falko took care of the rest...

Once Upon A Town project. Day 2. Pella.

Day 2 saw more rain hitting the wall than paint but we still managed to create some sunshine of our own...

Once Upon A Town project. Day 1. Pella.

South African graffiti legend Falko invited me to join him on his latest Splitpiece project, Once Upon A Town, taking place in two small towns on the West Coast just outside Cape Town.
To sum the project up: 2 artists, 2 towns, 16 days, 40 walls, 10 split pieces.
Today was the first day and we got off to a good start completing two pieces...
